Chak De! girls Vidya and Sagarika (TOI Photo) Designers from Delhi, Kolkata, Bombay and other parts of the country are in town to showcase their collections. No we're not talking about the fashion week but it definitely is a fashionista's delight! With around 56 designer ensembles, it is a treat for the fashion conscious. Origins boutique is housing their collections and we must say there is a design for each one! Rightly so, it's great for designers to learn and share their ideas, thereby catering to all kinds of palettes.
As designer Arnab Sengupta from Kolkata puts it, "Hyderabad is very fashionable and it has always been a pleasure showcasing my collections here." Known for his bridal collections, this time around he has included tunics in his collection. For those of us who prefer wearing western this season, you have designer, Ritika Basin from Delhi to help us out with that. She says, "I've been to Hyderabad before and I must say there is quite a lot of change and that is always good as it indicates a growing market." Shefali Talesara from Mumbai said, "It's nice to be here and I must admit the once conservative Hyderabadis are now opening up to halter necks and are beginning to experiment!" And incase you're wondering about accessorising, you have Shaheen Abbas, Anita Oswal to name a few, who are known for their jewellery designs. Hyderabad seems to be a hot spot for fashion and as they say, there is always room for more. Ensembles by Vikram Phadnis, Babita M and Krishna Mehta are also available here.
